Vectora Transportation was founded with the purpose of developing a rail solution for the transportation of wind energy components and other dimensional cargo. This initiative was launched with the following objectives:

  1. Reducing transportation costs for wind energy components and other dimensional cargo in North America by shifting volume from long-haul specialized truck to rail.
  2. Enabling ease of use of rail for the wind industry by creating a one-stop, standardized, and turnkey interface for OEMs, freight forwarders, and developers.
  3. Creating a rail-savvy and simplified conduit for Class I railroads to receive wind component freight that is properly secured, billed, unitized, and managed, including relief from equipment storage and management and relief from the need to establish terminals, distribution centeres, and loading/unloading operations.

These objectives have been realized as a result our dual competencies in rail transportation and project cargo logistics, our team of experienced industry veterans, and our in-house rail engineering capabilities.
